We’re creating a forever home for the Oklahoma Opry & So Much More

The Oklahoma Opry’s new Bricktown home at 19 E. California Ave. will soon be brought to life.
For the first time in its history, all of the Opry’s programs will be under one roof: its iconic Saturday evening shows, Strings of Valor, the Granville Community Music School - and the reopening of the Oklahoma Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum.

Once we are up and running in our forever home,

Strings of Valor will double enrollment from serving 70 veterans per year to more than 100

Granville will expand from serving 150 students per week to 150 per day

There is no limit to the number of shows & workshops that can be produced in our own theater

Number of guests will attend the Oklahoma Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum per year

Your support transforms lives

I was fortunate to have been invited to perform a few more times on The Oklahoma Opry and to attend two of the Opry’s Artist Development Workshops. These workshops are incredibly helpful in improving the skills of a new-ish performer like me. The workshops provide not only camaraderie with other performers eager to improve but also access to outstanding performance coaches. While my initial voice coach is the only reason I found my voice at all and even encountered the Opry, I would not be growing in my craft or have access to the path to a stage without The Oklahoma Opry. I have been very happy to volunteer my time in concessions and the ticket counter at shows on Saturdays, and I was also excited to volunteer at their big year-end fundraiser last year. I am also fortunate to be able to donate money to the foundation. In other words, I walk the talk in support of this group…I believe music has the power to bridge divides and heal communities. The Opry Heritage Foundation is demonstrating that power.

Strings of Valor has given me a new start on playing my guitar. I’ve been putting it off because I was stuck in myself. I wasn’t able to get past that hump that was keeping me from playing my guitar. I would play the same old stuff, and I just get bored with playing the same thing. Bob, Chris, and Rebecca have given more info on music and how that went hand and hand to understand how that would help me play better. It was super great when we would play a song, and we would all be in the zone playing. It was a great connection. I feel better about myself and playing guitar, knowing that there’s another place that I could/can continue with other vets and guitar players, kind of in the same spot as I have been in. I’ve told many other vets about this class and how it helps in more than one way.

The Granville School of Music has been an incredible blessing in my life. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of an organization that transforms lives through the power of music. Witnessing my students grow their talents and develop a deeper appreciation for music has been inspiring. I’ve seen firsthand how access to music and our community can uplift students and their families during challenging times. It is a true honor to be a part of this mission, and I am immensely proud to contribute to the positive impact Granville is making in the community
