Summer camp information is coming soon! We hope to hold our second mariachi camp in addition to our first world music camp in July 2026. If confirmed, each camp will be one week. Watch for more information regarding registration.

Randy Goodnight
Education Director
Director de Educación

Randy Goodnight is a dedicated music educator and arts administrator with a strong background in instrumental music, leadership, and community-based arts programming. He earned his undergraduate degree in Instrumental Music Education with a minor in Jazz Studies from the University of Central Oklahoma, followed by a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Randy spent eight years in public education, with the final four serving as Director of Bands at Perkins‑Tryon Public Schools. During his tenure, he led the program to notable success, with students earning recognition at the local, regional, state, and national levels. His commitment to excellence in teaching was honored in the 2024–2025 school year when he was named both the High School and District Teacher of the Year. Today, Randy serves as the Education Director for the Oklahoma Opry, where he oversees the Granville Community Music School, the Strings of Valor veterans program, and supports coordination of the Opry’s Artist Development Program. In this role, he combines his passion for music, education, and community service to help foster meaningful opportunities for students, veterans, and emerging artists. Randy resides in Bethel Acres, Oklahoma, with his wife, Abbigail, an elementary music teacher. Together, they are raising two sons, Everett and Henry, along with their dogs, Todd and Maggie.

Randy Goodnight es un dedicado educador musical y administrador de artes con una sólida formación en música instrumental, liderazgo y programas artísticos basados en la comunidad. Obtuvo su título de grado en Educación Musical Instrumental con una especialización menor en Estudios de Jazz en la Universidad de Central Oklahoma, seguido de una maestría en Liderazgo Educativo. Randy pasó ocho años en la educación pública, los últimos cuatro como Director de Bandas en Perkins‑Tryon Public Schools. Durante su gestión, dirigió el programa hacia un éxito notable, con estudiantes que recibieron reconocimiento a nivel local, regional, estatal y nacional. Vaneza Veloz-Garcia

Vaneza was born and raised in Woodward, Oklahoma, before moving to Edmond to attend the Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma. She also made the decision to move in order to be close to the thriving music scene in Oklahoma City. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance with plans to graduate in 2028. She is very excited to spend more time around music as a member of the Opry team. Vaneza assists with the coordination of all three of our programs: managing attendance & translations at Granville Community Music School, assisting with Strings of Valor graduations, A/V show production & venue coordination at Opry shows and more.

Vaneza nació y creció en Woodward, Oklahoma, antes de mudarse a Edmond para asistir a la Academy of Contemporary Music en la University of Central Oklahoma. También decidió mudarse para estar cerca de la vibrante escena musical de Oklahoma City. Actualmente cursa la licenciatura en Interpretación Vocal y planea graduarse en 2028. Está muy entusiasmada por pasar más tiempo rodeada de música como miembro del equipo del Opry. Vaneza colabora en la coordinación de los tres programas: gestiona la asistencia y las traducciones en la Granville Community Music School, asiste en las graduaciones de Strings of Valor, se encarga de la producción audiovisual y la coordinación del recinto en los shows del Opry, entre otras tareas.
