Since then, Cindy has expanded the Opry’s mission beyond entertainment to include artist development and music education for underserved communities. She founded the Granville Community Music School in 2009 and established the Opry’s first Guitar Initiative for Veterans in 2017, which is now known as Strings of Valor. Prior to her leadership at the Opry, Scarberry was a National Board Certified music teacher in Norman Public Schools for more than 20 years. Her global music education experience includes being a Fulbright Memorial Fund Fellow to Japan in 2002, Fund for Teachers Fellow to Zimbabwe in 2006, where she won the National Raymond Plank Fellowship Award for Teaching Excellence, and was honored by the University of Oklahoma’s Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education in 2009 as Educator of the Year. Cindy was a Senior Fellow for Oklahoma A+ Schools for over 20 years, where she developed and facilitated many workshops within the national and international network. She has also facilitated arts integration workshops for the Oklahoma Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain and San Francisco Symphony’s Keeping Score program. In addition to being inducted into the Oklahoma Opry Hall of Fame for her long-standing contributions, she also received the Governor’s Arts Education award in 2015, was a graduate of the 2017 OK Arts Council’s Leadership Arts program, inducted into the Oklahoma Women of Song in 2021 and was honored to receive the inaugural Deborah McAuliffe Senner Excellence in Arts Education Award in 2023 from Allied Arts.

Randy Goodnight

Randy Goodnight is a dedicated music educator and arts administrator with a strong background in instrumental music, leadership, and community-based arts programming. He earned his undergraduate degree in Instrumental Music Education with a minor in Jazz Studies from the University of Central Oklahoma, followed by a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Randy spent eight years in public education, with the final four serving as Director of Bands at Perkins‑Tryon Public Schools. During his tenure, he led the program to notable success, with students earning recognition at the local, regional, state, and national levels. His commitment to excellence in teaching was honored in the 2024–2025 school year when he was named both the High School and District Teacher of the Year. Today, Randy serves as the Education Director for the Oklahoma Opry, where he oversees the Granville Community Music School, the Strings of Valor veterans program, and supports coordination of the Opry’s Artist Development Program. In this role, he combines his passion for music, education, and community service to help foster meaningful opportunities for students, veterans, and emerging artists. Randy resides in Bethel Acres, Oklahoma, with his wife, Abbigail, an elementary music teacher. Together, they are raising two sons, Everett and Henry, along with their dogs, Todd and Maggie.

Stefani has served an integral role in our Opry family for over twenty years. She currently serves as our Community Outreach Coordinator, collecting and managing donated items and distributing them to those we serve. She also manages our merchandise and concession inventory, answers questions over the phone, coordinates group sales, and, most notably, takes the incredible pictures that you see displayed and posted each week. It is without question that the Oklahoma Opry could not run without Stefani. Before (and in addition to) working at the Opry, Stefani taught physical education in Norman Public Schools for more than 25 years.
