We Transform Lives Through Music
-
The Opry Heritage Foundation of Oklahoma (DBA the Oklahoma Opry, Strings of Valor, Granville Community Music School, &/or The Oklahoma Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that transforms lives through music. The mission is to provide quality music education and artist development while expanding the music industry and tourism in Oklahoma.
-
Every Saturday night at 7:00PM the Oklahoma Opry band backs new hosts and local entertainers performing live music from a wide range of genres. The Opry was founded in 1977 by Grant Leftwich as a backyard gathering of family and friends who loved to play country music and grew into Oklahoma’s Official Country Music Show.
-
Named after Opry founder, Granville “Grant” Leftwich, Granville Community Music School provides quality music instruction to children from low-income families for just 50 cents per lesson. Granville is modeled after Nashville’s long running W.O Smith Community Music School and open to children ages 9 - 18.
-
Since 2017, the Oklahoma Opry has provided free guitar lessons to over 200 Veterans and now continues to serve under the new name, Strings of Valor. Veterans enrolled in the program can receive guitar lessons at no cost. Each Veteran who completes the 11-week course and graduates from the program receives a brand new acoustic guitar, accessory pack, and is welcome to join alumni jam sessions and performance opportunities.

The Oklahoma Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum will reopen with the purpose to collect, preserve, and interpret the history and traditions of country music in Oklahoma and showcase how Oklahoma singers, songwriters, and musicians impact the genre. The original Oklahoma Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum opened in 1993 by members of the Del City Lions Club under the direction of the late country music performer & Del City Music owner, Bob Woods. As Oklahoma’s Official Country Music Show, the Oklahoma Opry is honored to have been given the responsibility and trust to preserve and showcase country music and the Oklahomans who make it great.
